Health
There is no vaccination-duty. Please obtain information about your personal health risks from your general practitioner or a clinic for tropical medicine.

 

 

 

Visa
For a four-weeks stay in Sri Lanka only a passport with six months validity is needed.


Taxi and Transport
Public transport is cheap and easily available. If required, we provide a taxi service from the airport (approx. € 80,-).
A charming five-hour ride along the coast or through the hills will take you through lush palm scenery to AquaBeach Cabanas.


Security
The civil war in the north and the east of the country which lasted decades has been officially finished in May 2009.

 

 

 

 

Language
It is easy to get by with English. Singhala and Tamil are both national languages with English commonly described as a link language.

Sri Lankan Rupee: 1 € = Rs 145/- (August 2010)
 
Weather
At the south coast November until March is high season. Temperature is never below 25°C. In November and December there are sometimes warm rainy showers. The weather at present here.
