AquaBeach is situated on the south coast of Sri Lanka facing the Indian
Ocean, nestling at the edge of the fishing village of Gurupokuna, which is
located 15 miles east of Tangalle. This area has been spared by tourism
so far and is ideal for ocean and nature lovers who are looking for
relaxation and regeneration. The turtles have chosen this coast for laying
their eggs. The location consists of five comfortable cabanas, a restaurant
(all facing the sea) and a new swimming pool with sea water. Excellent
food is served with daily fresh fish and delicious coconuts
from our own palm grove.
Surroundings: long, white, sandy beach with rock coves; walks and
bicycle tours, e.g. to Kalametiya Lagoon with natural bird park; snorkelling
Trips: Yala, Udawalawa, Bundula National Parks, ancient historic sites
and temple cities, rain forest, fertile highlands with tea plantations,
